On Saturday 26 June 2010 Cardiff will host the second Armed Forces Day national event. "In June 2009 the Lord Mayor of Cardiff, Cllr Brian Griffiths officially accepted an invitation from the Ministry of Defence to host the 2010 Armed Forces Day national event. With the current conflicts taking place, now more than ever, our Armed Forces are gaining worldwide attention. Armed Forces Day will allow us as a nation, to show our support and honor the past, present and future of the brave men and women serving our country. On Saturday 26 June 2010 Cardiff, the Capital City for Wales will host the second Armed Forces Day national event, supported by the Welsh Assembly Government, Cardiff Council and the Ministry Of Defence." more information is available on thier site: www.armedforcesdaycardiff.co.uk
