Ty Hafan Rainbow Run Porthcawl

More than just a standard 5k, Rainbow Run participants are showered with colour at every turn!   Come along wearing a white t-shirt (and running gear you don’t mind getting messy) and you will leave with a smile on your face and every colour of the rainbow! You’ll run through stations of colour where you will be showered with different coloured powder paints.  You don't have to be an Olympic athlete; a reasonable level of fitness will get you round the 5km route, with a lot of laughter helping you along the way.   Rainbow Run is not a race, nor is it about speed or fitness; it’s about celebration, having crazy fun with friends and raising a smile for your Tŷ Hafan.   Why take part? Known as ‘Pops’ by her family, Poppy was referred to Tŷ Hafan in 2011. She has suffered many health problems over the years and there have been times when doctors didn’t think she would pull through. “Tŷ Hafan allows Poppy to be a normal 10-year-old. She loves the banter and is made to feel like one of the girls. She’s not treated like a disabled person, she is treated like a normal girl with a great sense of humour. It’s also the only place we can go as a family to have a complete rest".  By taking part in our Rainbow Run events, you are helping families like these make the most of the precious time they have left together as your valued sponsorship allows Tŷ Hafan to continue offering care and support across Wales. Single Entry - £13 per person,  Group Entry - £10 per person (with a group minimum of 5 per team) To take part we ask each participant to aim to raise a minimum of £50 in sponsorship or make an equivalent donation upon registration. Under 16’s please aim to raise £20 in sponsorship. Participants who raise more than £50 each will be in with the chance of winning a day out paint balling for 10 people!   The events are open to all ages from five years upwards – under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.   *On the day*The Rainbow Run Porthcawl Event Village is on the promenade in front of the Coney beach amusements (CF36 5BT). There is car parking available at Salt Lake pay and display car park. Registration will be open from 11:30am. You will need to register by handing in / signing the event disclaimer form. The run will start at 1.30pm
