The lazy journalist in me would say something like how this Welsh mob sound like Sonic Boom Six on crack. Yeah, I know, I didn't think anyone could out spazz SB6 either, but this Bridgend-based mob easily do it. 'No Compromise' is a brilliant album from start to finish. At times it's just so utterly bonkers it's confusing and a bit too much, but you've got to love the fact this band just don't see the boundaries and instead just chuck so many musical styles together to create a genre-bending album that's blistering in pace and excitement.
'Strike' is just a psychotic ska-based trip through three minutes of mayhem. 'Intro' sounds like Rage Against The Machine if they grew up on ska. 'Woody', which starts off with Woody Woodpecker samples, is an absolute riot. Not one song sounds the same, not one song sounds like any other band. The brass sections sound as forceful as NoComply used to, but other than that any comparisons are just made by lazy people. Like me. If you love how SB6 chuck so much together and sound like themselves, then Broken Nose will be your new favourite band.
