Description

The Welsh Unsigned Stand-up Award is in it’s third year and is a competition designed to give comedians ready to make the move from amateur to professional the opportunities they need.

The competition heats are held every month at Chapter Arts Centre, Market Street. The semi finals and final will take place during the Cardiff Comedy Festival at Chapter Arts Centre and The Glee Club, Cardiff respectively.

The competitors will be judged by a panel of three industry professionals;

Wes Packer
Winner of ‘So You Think You’re Funny?’ 2006, Rhondda’s Wes has played at the Montreal Comedy Festival with Frank Skinner, Jimmy Carr & Richard Herring

Dave Owens
Dave is a comedy critique and the Entertainments Editor for the South Wales Echo

Lee Sigerson
Manager of the Cardiff Glee Club, Lee has 25 years of experience in the comedy industry rubbing shoulders with the likes of Johnny Vegas and Lee Evans
