Michael Jackson tribute concert 2011 – Cardiff Millennium StadiumA Michael Jackson tribute concert has been announced for Saturday 8th October 2011 in the Cardiff Millennium Stadium. Currently unannounced, some of the world’s greatest artists are expected to join Katherine Jackson and family to celebrate Michaels life. The official website for the event (http://home.michaelforevertribute.com/home.html) has a countdown to ticket registration which is a two stage process and tickets ranging from £55 to £289. The event is sure to pack a huge crowd into Cardiff as with all major events at the Millennium Stadium, we always see a huge influx of visitors from all over the globe. There has been some controversy over the event just after its announcement with Randy and Jermaine Jackson who tried but failed to organize a tribute show after Jackson’s 2009 death raised concerns over the timing of the event which is set to coincide with the manslaughter trial of Jackson’s doctor beginning September 20. The brothers have stressed that they are not against the event, merely the timing of it and the trial. The event to be called Michael forever – The Tribute Concert will be held on Saturday 8th October 2011 in the Cardiff Millennium Stadium with proceeds going to charity.
