CELEBRATE ALL THINGS IRISH THIS ST PATRICK’S DAY
O’Neill’s pubs in Cardiff are busy preparing for their biggest event of the year ensuring partygoers expected at their Trinity Street and St Mary Street locations this St Patrick’s Day can raise a glass – or fork – to the much-loved patron saint of the Emerald isle.
Extra supplies of the legendary ‘black stuff’ and essential ingredients for the pub’s traditional Irish dishes have been ordered, so however you chose to celebrate on 17th March – whether it’s starting the day with an All Day Irish Breakfast, enjoying Irish Sausages & Colcannon for lunch or simply enjoying a glass of Guinness after work - you’re part of the worldwide celebrations.
Jane McKenna, manager of O’Neill’s Trinity Street said: “Every year our St Patrick’s Day party gets bigger and bigger, with people coming from all over Wales and beyond, to join in with our celebrations.
“This year will be no different, with live music and a variety of activities taking place throughout the week. There will be live Irish music at the Trinity Street O’Neill’s on the 16th, 17th and 18th, and a solo acoustic set plus a live Irish band at St. Mary Street on the 17th, so you don’t need to travel to Ireland to experience the famous craic – just head to O’Neill’s in Cardiff.”
Last year O’Neill’s Irish pubs poured over 85,000 pints of Guinness on St Patrick’s Day alone, with people celebrating all across the UK. For those wishing to try an alternative Irish favourite, both O’Neill’s in Cardiff will also be serving Smithwick’s Ale, Jameson Whiskey or Irish soft-drink Cidona.
Jane continued: “St Patrick’s Day promises to be one of the best events of the year. So grab your friends, get down to O’Neill’s on March 17th and enjoy the very best of Irish hospitality.”
