Cardiff’s Winter Wonderland with Admiral Open Air Ice Rink opened on November 17. Now in its 11th year the festive favourite which is situated in Cardiff’s iconic Civic Centre will run up until 2nd January 2012 - offering 6 weeks of skating. And as the year draws to a close, Winter Wonderland will provide the backdrop for ‘Calennig’- the city’s traditional New Year’s Eve celebrations. Ice Rink

Exceptions Other AttractionsFamouse for the ice ring, Winter Wonderland has many attractions around the ice too. In previous years a large ferris wheel has offered spectacular views over city hall but this year seems to have been replace by the rather breathtaking BT Infinity Star Ride. From the official site:
A new and exciting addition to Cardiff's Winter Wonderland is the spectacular BT Infinity Star Ride. This thrilling 60m high spinning chair ride, the only one of its kind in the UK, will give visitors spectacular panoramic views of our capital city.
